Diet plays a significant role in sport and exercise performance. What an individual eats and drinks before, during, and after exercise affects health, body mass, body composition and recovery as well as overall performance. An optimum diet can help to maximise sport performance.
The dietetics team includes Diarmuid Duggan, Senior Dietitian, BSc Sports Science, HDip Nutritional Science & PgDip Dietetics and Billy Murphy, BSc Sports Science, MSc Nutrition specialising in Sports Nutrition & PgDip Dietetics. We utilise knowledge of the science of nutrition in order to promote exercise and sport performance. By combining expertise in the physiology of exercise and the role of nutrients in exercise performance we will give you the best chance of reaching your goals and achieving your peak performance level.
